Description
Hard fescue – small-leaved, forms a dense turf. Sown in lawns, it takes root well and grows slowly. They are winter-hardy and turn green early in the spring. Suitable for decorative planting. Tolerates shade – can be mixed into mixtures when planting in shady areas. Some varieties tolerate low mowing, so they can be sown in paddocks, seashores, dunes or other non-bearing lands.
Does not tolerate intensive trampling.
Use: for lawns, special non-bearing soil mixtures, shaded areas. Does not tolerate intensive trampling.
Cultivation features: some varieties tolerate salty, light, sandy soils.
