Description
False oatgrass – in Lithuania, they grow naturally in natural meadows, in the higher places of flooded meadows, on slopes, on roadsides. Grows relatively well during droughts. For fodder, it is recommended to grow it only in mixtures with other fodder plants, because oat plants contain bitter substances, so animals do not like monocrop hay.
Use: for fodder grass mixtures, decorative grasses.
Cultivation features: likes fertile, non-acidic, moderately moist soils.
