Description

Brown Mustard (Indian mustard) – is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the cruciferous family. These are short growing plants, within 20-30 days. Growing to a height of 0.5-1.5 m, depending on soil fertility.

Use: seeds are used to make Dijon mustard, to press oil. Also in medicine (for mustard leaves, etc.). Some varieties are used for microgreens (salads).

Cultivation features: they like good fertile soils. Cultivation technology is similar to that of summer rapeseed. Harvesting has nuances: when growing grain, it is necessary to thresh ripe grain, to dry the harvested crop very quickly so that it does not rot and mold.
